“I Lost Respect For Onyeka Onwenu – Singer Aramide

Aramide crashed into the Nigerian music scene with her unique awesomeness and she has been winning.

The singer disclosed in an interview how disappointed she was in music legend, Onyeka Onwenu.

Nigerian alternative singer, Aramide, talked about her new single ‘Jomo’ in a recent interview. She also recounted the incident that made her lose her respect for one of her childhood inspirations, Onyeka Onwenu.

Aramide narrated what happened after she stuck around the veteran singer for a photo, said;

‘I was still really new in the industry and I opened the stage for her, I got down and decided to take a picture with her, as soon as I got there she went off on me. She said ‘Don’t touch me’. It was like the worst experience I have had in my life. Everyone was staring at me. I don’t think she knew I opened the show for her’.
