Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla midfielder is out of contract in the summer, but he is focused on trying to play again before the end of the season.
But does not know what his future will be as his contract at Emirates Stadium draws to a close.
The midfielder has not made a first-team appearance since October 2016 due to an ongoing ankle problem which has required eight surgeries over the past few years.
The Spaniard then contracted gangrene on the affected areas and there were fears he would never walk again or may even have to have his foot amputated. Cazorla is back in light training now and he hopes to be able to continue his football career, however, he does not know what his situation at Arsenal is, with his contract expiring in the summer.
“I finish my contract in June and I do not know anything about my future,” Cazorla told Cadena Ser.
“We will see what happens, but for the moment nobody has offered me anything at Arsenal.”
Arsenal have missed Cazorla’s influence in midfield during his injury absence and he has made over 170 appearances for the Gunners since his move from Malaga in 2012.
