Supreme Court: “Withdraw Your Suit Against Uzodinma” – Imo Monarchs Tell Ihedioha

– The Supreme Court had on Tuesday, January 14, sacked Ihedioha and installed Uzodinma as the governor of the state- Ihedioha, however, approached the apex court to reverse its judgement in the case

The hue and cry generated by the sacking of Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the governor of Imo state and eventual declaration of Hope Uzodinma of All Progressives Congress (APC) as the authentic winner of March 9, 2019, governorship election in the state are yet to subside.The spokesperson of the royal fathers, Eze Akujuobi Osuagwu, the traditional ruler of Awaka autonomous community while addressing newsmen in his palace noted that the controversy generated by Ihedioha’s case at the supreme court is currently dragging the state backward.
Sun reports that the crisis took another twist on Friday, February 7, when the ex-governor described as faceless some traditional rulers in the state who asked him to withdraw his case against Uzodinma. It was gathered that the traditional rulers from Owerri North local government area of the state called on Ihedioha to withdraw his suit against Governor Uzodinma from the Supreme Court in the interest of the people of the state.
