Southern YOWICAN Celebrates Nigeria At 60, Calls On Leaders, Citizens To Have A Rethink On The Nigerian Project

The chairman, Southern Youth Wing Christian Association Of Nigeria(YOWICAN) under the distinguished chairmanship of Barr. Green Oluchukwu Nnabugwu calls on Nigerian Citizens, leaders to embrace peace, unity and love as Nigeria commemorate her 60th independence anniversary.

The chairman in a press conference addressed the members of the press on Thursday, 1st October 2020 at the Imo state CAN secretariat, Owerri. He thanked God Almighty for the Nigerian journey so far and also called for national unity, security, justice and equality in building a greater Nigeria.

He also expressed dissatisfaction over Nigeria’s high position in global index as regards to poverty, corruption, insecurity, unemployment, terrorism, bad governance and the untold hardship that is taking a harsh turn, on the majority of the populace of this country.

The chairman also highlighted major roles the association is playing to ensure that the Nigerian project becomes a reality.

He also highlighted that we as Nigerian citizens bear in mind that a prosperous Nigeria cannot be realized without a strong and inclusive institutions that undermine the tendencies of our leaders to deploy our state institutions and structures for extractive purposes and personal aggrandizement.
