Vice Chancellor of Imo State University Prof. Peter Akah, on behalf of the students and comrade community for a supposed voice note that is circulating on the social media and disrespected the office and the person of the Ag. Vice Chancellor of Imsu.

We, in strong terms Condemn such act that is capable of inciting disaffection between the Students Community, the Management of IMSU and the Government of Imo State.

We therefore caution the sources/ persons said to be involved in this show of shame wether real or concocted to desist from such act.

We furthermore assure Imo stars that we will ensure an election process that will lead to a democratically established Students Union Government based on the provisions of the SUG constitution. We therefore call on all Imo stars to be peaceful and law abiding while ensuring we stay safe at this trying times of our nation.

In the light of all happenings in IMO state, we sincerely commend the efforts of the State Government led by Sen. Hope Uzodinma in fostering peace and safety of lives and properties in the state and appeal to the government to ensure it is sustained.
We also seize this medium to solicit for more intervention and funding for our tertiary education especially in the state owned institutions as this will enable production of productive graduates that in turn will increase the productivity of the state and nation.

We finally wish to encourage the SSA on Students Affairs to the Governor of Imo State on his efforts so far and charge him to be more accommodating of Nigerian students in the State devoid of their ethnic or political affiliations because he represents the Governor of the State in the students community.

We reiterate that the present leadership of NANS is out to appreciate/support any person, organization, management or administration that shows support and extends a hand of fellowship to the Nigerian students.

Freedom only cometh by struggle!
